What if you lived in a world where you were told that everyone had food, shelter, employment and equal treatment, but you had to give up other things like freedom of speech and even your faith? Year 0033 follows the story of Chella who lives in a world just like this. After she hears of am 'Old Church' group who live on the 'outside' she decides to escape the life she has always known and seek out other believers in the hope of finding a new existence and freedom. I really enjoyed this gripping novel and the journey of Chella and her friends had me longing for just 'one more' chapter as I read through the twists and turns. This is a YA/Teen book, but as an adult reader I enjoyed it a lot. While the ending was satisfying, I would love to know what happens next! Still a great standalone story.
