Scroll Eaters is a Christian Bookshop with Tea Room based in Stroud.
Operating on-Line and in-store, we have a range of Christian books and gifts, including; Bibles, Bible Commentaries, Bible Study, DVDs, Games & Christian books for children.
If we do not have it in stock we can usually order it for you.
Recent comments have told us that our Tea Room is a warm, relaxing place.
Refreshments and small lunches are available at reasonable prices too!


Who We Are.

We are Mike and Tineke,  a married Christian couple that both like to work, communicate, and help people.

Reading is a big hobby of ours. If we had the chance, we would read all day.

As we do not get this chance, we thought we’d share our passion with other people, including, hopefully, you dear reader.

Scroll Eaters

You will maybe wonder why we have chosen for this particular name for the shop.

First of all, we both decided we needed to have something recognizable,  Biblical, and Christian.

Secondly, we did not want a name which was already well known on the market.

Lastly, but not least, we found the name through reading the scripture you can find underneath;

Ezekiel 3 New King James Version (NKJV)

3 Moreover He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.” 2 So I opened my mouth, and He caused me to eat that scroll.

3 And He said to me, “Son of man, feed your belly, and fill your stomach with this scroll that I give you.” So I ate, and it was in my mouth like honey in sweetness.

Our Aim

Our aim is not to ‘just sell and have a nice bookshop', but to make it a  place where you like to browse, feel welcome, and are richly blessed.

In the shop, you will be able to find books from different genres.

Also, you will be able to find a range of gifts. The majority of these are handmade by us or other local crafters. To give you an idea, we have listed a few items below.
