Alison’s book on trauma, ‘From Despair to Hope: a Biblical Approach to Trauma’ has now been published!

In This beautifully presented book, Alison PH Barnett takes eleven Biblical characters and looks at how they suffered from various trauma including grief, loss, despair, infertility, and unhappy marriage.
The book then details how God brought restoration and wholeness to each of these people and goes on to offer practical tips for those who are helping someone recover from trauma. by drawing on the scriptures to tackle the trauma that people sometimes have to face.

Alison Barnett is the Field Director of One Heart Israel, a charity whose aim is to see both Jews and Arabs be reconciled in faith in their Messiah. She is passionate about the impact prayer can play in someone's narrative of healing and her heart is to disciple, mentor, and counsel people, particularly those who have suffered trauma, abuse, and PTSD. 
She holds a degree in Classics from Birmingham University, UK, as well as a Master's degree in Ministry and Leadership from Western Seminary, Portland USA. She holds a diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body, UK.
 She lives in Jerusalem with her husband Barry.
